An awesome West London based global service provider for TV Networks, Broadcasters and Digital companies are looking for a Post Production Systems Engineer providing 1st & some 3rd Line support to join their passionate and experienced team. As a Systems Engineer, you'll be required to cover first-line support for all post-production systems and MacOS workstations Creative departments, escalating if and when necessary to the Director of Engineering. Responsibilities: 1st line support on Mac OS systems running Adobe Creative Cloud, Avid Pro-Tools and Autodesk packages (Flame, Maya), for both Hardware and Software 1st line support of the in-house media asset management systems Providing 3rd line support to server equipment that services Creative departments and providing development for those services. Daily routine checks on workstations and storage servers. Assisting and advising with file conversion, imports/exports and transcoding Supporting Mac users with company IT support Liaising with engineering regarding networking issues Front and back end systems maintenance Logging of reported issues Responsible for tracking storage usage and monitoring housekeeping Maintenance and development of creative in-house systems Liaising with 3rd party suppliers regarding equipment and SLAs. Requirements: Excellent technical administration of MacOS workstation and server Technical administration of Windows workstation Scripting (python or pearl) at a middle weight level 1st line support for Adobe Software including Premier-Pro and After-Effects as well as Flame 2018 Working Understanding of Pro-Tools HD 2018 Strong knowledge of networking, shared storage (SAN and NAS) Understanding of file permissions, posix and ACLs Experience of Active Directory Experience with Web based technologies - Apache, MySQL, PHP, HTML Experience of Absolute Manage or similar centralised IT system and delivering technical solutions. You: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills as will be client facing Service minded with a can-do, positive attitude Strong time management skills & ability to prioritise Passionate about technology and post production. Experience of solving technical issues with the ability to be calm under pressure.
