Giving Something Back
We have a team who look after our Corporate Social Responsibility at boycerecruitment, and are key in helping us organise and realise our voluntary ambitions.
Volunteering days are important to us as we work together as a whole company making sure that everyone has a part to play in giving something back to causes that matter to us.
Our Social Responsibility commitments help us work with less advantaged members of the community. We try to use our skills and interests to help people access opportunities or just to do something that needs to be done.
Our CSR initiatives have included...
supporting The Whitechapel Mission in various ways such as cooking breakfasts for the homeless, running the London 10K to raise sponsorship, and entering their Monopoly Challenge. We also have donated equipment to schools, sponsored a north London youth football team, attended the Mighty Deerstalker Challenge in Scotland for Cancer Research, sponsored children in an African bereavement project, sent boxes filled with gifts for orphans in the Ukraine, run for cancer research, donated equipment and built fences on a farm including a llama enclosure (yes really), collected clothes and food for foodbanks, mentored young A- level students to guide them through their university / career choices and hosted a Christmas party for the elderly.
These things matter to us.
We have learnt and have been humbled by our involvement with all of these projects and people we have met along the way.
The projects have strengthened our own sense of team and how important it is to work together and appreciate what we have more. Boyce Recruitment has set up a corporate social responsiblity team who co-ordinate the initiatives and are are involved in organising at least one major activity each year. Participation is voluntary but we usually find that the majority of people who work here want to be part of some of the initiatives we do.
