We’re currently collecting old footwear destined for the bin. Before you judge us, here’s why:

Around 250,000 people in the UK (and somewhere between 17 and 20 million worldwide) have Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME)/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). This is a condition that makes it hard for suffers to go about daily life, as it affects mental and physical functioning. To make matters worse, this condition is usually dismissed as laziness by both those in the medical profession and the general public. In order to combat this, on the 12th of May 2018, MillionsMissingManchester are laying down shoes & gathering people to attract the attention of the government to address this disease.

So; if you’re like me and you’ve got winter boots that are on their last legs, or that pair of shoes you bought to go with an outfit years ago and are still sitting all lonely at the back of the wardrobe ‘only worn once because they gave you blisters’, please send them to us or drop them into our offices at 35 Kirby Street, EC1n 8TE
